Tryouts for 2017 Timberwolves Beach will be January 21st
Announcing the Timberwolves first women's beach volleyball team. Beach volleyball is not yet a CIF high school sport. We will compete with other San Diego high schools under the Sand Volleyball Association. Medical Release Form required for tryouts.
The 1st league game is March 2nd, The last League game May 4th, League Playoffs are May 9th - 13th. NEW THIS YEAR: The top beach team from San Diego will advance to the State Playoffs to be held in Huntington Beach, on Saturday May 20, 2017.
Practices will be held three days per week. Many of the players will be doubling up with indoor club season and will have conflicts with practice days. So, adding a third day of practice per week allows everyone to get here and train. You will have the flexibility to choose two practices to attend per week.
During the winter months, the sun goes down earlier. We will train until the sun drops below the horizon, then fill in the rest of the practice time with weights and conditioning. Please bring shoes and socks for this portion of practice.
A varsity team of six players and a JV team of six players will be formed. JV teams will compete only if the opposing teams provide court space and teams to play.
Cost: $500 per player covers league play, coaching fees and insurance and uniform (payments $100 per month).
$60 club registration fee with USA Volleyball or proof of SCVA/USAV registration with your indoor club team.
Additional tournaments are offered throughout the season. Entries are $40 per team, paid to coach prior to each event.
Where: Tryout and practices will be held at Bright Volleyball Club (contact me for address)
Practice Times: 3:30 to 5:30 (if it gets dark before 5:30, we will condition until the end of practice)
Practice Days: 3 days per week/TBD
What to Bring: Water, sunglasses, bathing suit or spandex, running shoes and socks, snack

All players are required to register with SCVA. If you are currently registered with SCVA, please provide me with your registration number.

Timberwolves Beach Feeder Program
I can only take 12 players for Timberwolves Beach. If you do not make the team, please contact me if you are interested in training one day per week on a practice only team at $10 per two hour session.
